Paint your roofs white to slow global warming, says Obama's energy adviser
According to a report in the Telegraph, Professor Steven Chu, the US Energy Secretary, said that the unusual proposal would mean homes in hot countries would save energy and money on air conditioning by deflecting the sun's rays.
More pale surfaces could also slow global warming by reflecting heat into space rather than allowing it to be absorbed by dark surfaces where it is trapped by greenhouse gases and increases temperatures.
The Professor described climate change as a "crisis situation", and called for a whole host of measures to be introduced, from promoting energy efficiency to renewable energy such as wind, wave and solar.
The Nobel Prize-winning physicist said the US was not considering any large scale "geo-engineering" projects where science is used to reverse global warming, but was in favour of "white roofs everywhere".
He said that lightening roofs and roads in urban environments would offset the global warming effects of all the cars in the world for 11 years.
"If you look at all the buildings and if you make the roofs white and if you make the pavement more of a concrete type of colour rather than a black type of colour and if you do that uniformally, that would be the equivalent of reducing the carbon emissions due to all the cars in the world by 11 years - just taking them off the road for 11 years," he said.
BSNL Providing Free Incoming Video Calls for 3 Months
As such, to promote the newly launched product, BSNL have recently announced that, all its 2G customers having 3G supported handsets can use “Video incoming call” feature for free for a period of 3 months.
Well, we appreciate this new scheme initiated by BSNL, but did you realize the business model of this plan? Simple, every user cannot just use video calls feature for free (as just incoming is free) so, BSNL is trying to make some money by the outgoing calls made by the other party.

After having endorsed many FMCG products, superstar Hrithik Roshan will now be seen as the Brand Ambassador of Reliance Mobile. According to our most reliable sources, the Krissh superstar will henceforth be the face of the Reliance's mobile, data and DTH businesses and that the promotional campaign for the same is being extensively shot in Bangkok.
News also has it that Hrithik will be shooting for around 8 TVCs for the same all centering around the theme of the ad campaign 'Just pick up the phone, don't wait...go for it'. Even though we, at Bollywood Hungama are not astrologers, but we can surely 'predict' that the sales of Reliance Mobiles are bound to shoot up like a rocket. And need we still tell you the reason?

The Vodafone ZooZoos Win PETA Award

You must have heard about Vodafone Zoozoos that’s creating a buzz across the blogosphere. And, presently, it is not only the bloggers talking about the Zoozoo ads.
If you are a Zoozoo fan, then you will be happy to know that the Zoozoo Ads have won the PETA award (People for Ethical Treatment for Animals).
An article in The Hindu states:
The awards are given to businesses that take advantage of humane alternatives to the use of real animals in their advertisements, PETA said in a press release here
Well, by now you must have understood that this award is usually given to business houses promoting to save lives of Animals. I think, in future, many more companies will clone the Vodafone Zoozoo ads.
Its interesting to see why Vodafone (formerly Hutch ) got an award . Is it because they replaced the dog - pug with ZooZoo ?
What animal sounds are called

PINTU - GOVERNANCE SYSTEM
Suddenly he asked his father, " Dad! What does it mean by 'Governance System' ? "
"It's like..." father said while thinking, "See! I earn and bring money to home, mean's I am a 'Money Holder'. Your mother decides where and how to spend that money and that means she is 'Government'. That maid in our home is doing all the household works, so she will be 'Labour Class'. You are a 'Common man' or 'Public'. Your kid brother is 'Future' or the 'Next
Generation', understand?".
That day Pintu slept with all those thoughts. In the middle of the night he woke-up because his kid brother was crying. He wetted the matrices so he was crying. Pintu went to woke-up his mother. She was in deep sleep so Pintu went to the Maiden's room to wake her up. But there his father was sleeping with the maid. So he came back with frustration.
Next morning father asked Pintu, " Hey Pintu Darling! You understood the 'Governance System'? ".
Pintu replied, "Yeah Dad, I understood! When Money Holder is exploiting Labour Class, our Government is sleeping. Future of our nation is crying for not getting their basic needs fulfilled and in all this Common Man is suffering!"

HYBRID ANIMALS

The Golden Pheasant has commonly been crossed with the similar Lady Amherst's Pheasant. The result is a hybrid with distinguished colors from its parents.
HYBRID ANIMALS

What do you get when you cross a cow with a buffalo? The Beefalo, a hybrid animal that produces red meat lower in fat and cholesterol than beef. Most consumers have never heard of beefalo, let alone tasted it, and only a few Seattle grocery stores carry it.
HYBRID ANIMALS
The liger is a hybrid cross between a male Panthera leo (lion), and a female Panthera tigris (Tiger) and is denoted scientifically as Panthera tigris × Panthera leo. A liger resembles a giant lion with diffused stripes. They are the largest cats in the world, although the Siberian Tiger is the largest pure sub-species. Like tigers, but unlike lions, ligers enjoy swimming. A similar hybrid, the offspring of a male tiger and a female lion is called a tigon.
HYBRID ANIMALS

A zebroid (also zebra mule and zebrule) is the offspring of any cross between
a zebra and any other equine: essentially, a zebra hybrid. In most cases, the sire is a zebra stallion. Offspring of a donkey sire and zebra mare, called a zebra hinny, do exist but are rare. Zebroids have been bred since the 19th century. The zebroid showed in the picture above, Eclyse, is a very unusual one, because of her coloring. With her über distinct makings, it's really hard not think she's a Photoshop mock-up.
